Advancing PA Rail - Keystone West; Status of Norfolk Southern Infrastructure Projects for Second Pennsylvanian
Below is a link to PennDOT's webpage that lists the eleven infrastructure projects Norfolk Southern (NS) has planned to improve operational reliability for both passenger and freight trains between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg. They are included in the agreement signed by PennDOT and NS in August 2023 that will increase western PA passenger rail service. The four projects designated as Early Action are scheduled to be completed first to permit the initiation of a second Pennsylvanian in 2026.
