Infrastructure plan may add more rail service to Pittsburgh
Attached is yesterday's Pittsburgh Business Times article discussing how funds for Amtrak included in the Biden administration's infrastructure proposal could lead to increased passenger rail service for western Pennsylvania. Amtrak's envisioned growth plan in line with the proposed funds, Amtrak Connects US (link attached), shows enhanced service along the route of the Pennsylvanian as well as new Cleveland - Pittsburgh and Buffalo - Erie - Cleveland service. Additional Pennsylvanians, as well as added Keystone trains, are also included in Amtrak's Five-Year Service Line Plans (link attached; page 71).
